In the spring of 1996 eight retired Knights of Columbus began teaching woodworking to the Special Needs Boys at Houston High, here in Germantown. Thinking back on the events, I believe it was Our Lords way of preparing us for our work here at Madonna. We started teaching in their library! We realized that we would need a shop in which to teach. We addressed other K of C councils to recruit and raise funds. A Brother who was listening quietly convinced his employer to Build our woodworking shop as their Charitable Event of the Year 2004.
